Throughout the course of your treatment, your physical therapist will assess and monitor your progress. Be sure to tell her if you are experiencing pain, have new symptoms, or have difficulty performing any at-home exercises. By keeping track of how you are doing, your physical therapist will be able to note areas that need continued attention as well as new symptoms that should be addressed. Treatment techniques will be modified or changed, as necessary.
Also, please express any concerns or questions you may have about your treatment plan. The greater your understanding about your condition and care plan, the more you are empowered to comply with treatment and be a true partner in your own healing.
